GW4/RGW double-column outdoor disconnector for visible no-load isolation on 10 kV to 252 kV lines, bus sections, breaker bays and maintenance points, with manual or motor operation and optional grounding.

Structure, grounding and interlock details

  • GW4 outdoor AC isolation switches are used on high-voltage lines, bus sections, circuit breakers and other electrical equipment where visible no-load isolation is required for maintenance or sectionalizing.
  • The structure is a double-column horizontal opening type. The main blade rotates about 90 degrees to open or close.
  • Grounding blade options use rotary or linear insertion arrangements. The product can use manual or electric operating mechanisms.
  • Mechanism options include CS11, CS8-6D, CS14G, CS17, CS17G, CS9, CJ6 and CJ6B depending on voltage class and configuration.
  • GW4-252 configuration includes the disconnector body, CS14G or CS17G manual operating mechanism, transmission accessories and optional CJ6 or other electric mechanism.
  • Each GW4-252 pole includes base, post insulators, outlet seat and contacts. Configuration notes list sealed bearing seats, thrust and radial bearings, stainless steel shaft pins, self-lubricating shaft sleeves and silver-plated contact fingers.
  • Grounding switch interlock prevents the main conductive circuit and grounding switch from being closed at the same time.
